Parvuli Dei Catholic Religious Award

For Bears and Webelos

Lauren H. and Michelle C. will be working with the Bear and Webelos on the Parvuli Dei Award.  Please contact either Lauren H. or Michelle C. with any questions or for additional information. 

The currently scheduled meetings follow.  Additional meetings will be scheduled at a later date.

            Tuesday, December 7th at 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Van Buren Elementary in room 107

            Tuesday, December 21st at 4:30 p.m. meet with Father Kevin Morris at St. Susanna Church in the Gathering Space to go over the Parvuli Dei Award.  All the activities must be completed prior to meeting with Father Kevin and this completes the requirements for the award.

            Sunday, February 13th at 11:30 a.m. the Parvuli Dei Award will be presented to the Cub Scouts during Mass.

Please see this document for a description of the Parvuli Dei Award.  Also, included a description of the Light of Christ that Tigers and Wolves can earn and the 2 Rosary Patches for any 1st to 5th Grade Catholic Scouts can earn.  It appears that we are still able to earn the 2003-2004 Joyful Mystery Rosary Patch in addition to this years Luminous Mysteries Rosary Patch.  There are a total of 4 patches in this series that can be earned between 2003 to 2007.  The Rosary Patches must be ordered from the National Catholic Committee on Scouting in Texas.  Michelle C. has the form and can coordinate ordering of patches for the pack if needed.
