Belt Loops and Pins

Accademic and Sports Belt Loop  and Pin Requirements.  These requirements are not listed in the Cub Scout Handbooks but you can get them here on the Internet.  The complete description of Belt loops and Pins are also explained in the "Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program Guide" which is used by your Cub Scout Leader.  Belt loops are awarded to boys (Tigers through Weblos) who complete the three belt loop requirements in an academic subject or sport.  Belt loops may be worn with the Cub Scout uniform on the Cub Scout belt.  Weblos Scouts who wear the khaki uniform may still wear the blue Cub Scout belt so as to display the belt loops they have earned.   Pins are earned by boys who choose to continue their involvement in an Academics or Sports area.  Pins may be worn on the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Letter.  The Academics and Sports letter "C" is presented with the first pin that a boy earns and can be worn on a sweater or jacket, or displayed or framed.  It does not go on the uniform.  There is no specific requirement for earning the letter, as it is designed mearly to display pins.
